In a month I will be ready to sell a small grill for backpacking. It will have a 7"x11" stainless grill. The tripod will be aluminum. The cables that hold the grill will be stainless also. It will be totally adjustable up to about 18" high. It weighs 3.8 oz. for the whole system.

You can also use it without the grill. If your pot has a bail you can hang it over the fire with a center hook. This will also be adjustable. The adjustments are a squeeze to release , slide spring. When you release the spring it grips the rods of the tripod very firmly. Without the grill the tripod and hook weighs 1.2 oz.

I designed this after running out of fuel with my Jetboil last hunting season.

I will post some pictures in a day or two.

Interesting but kinda vague without pictures and more of a description about what niche this will fill. Being that lightweight and having aluminum legs, I would have concerns about warping and melting.

How much weight can it support? What's the maximum height it can be raised to and would it work with a Dakota fire pit?
