Hey brother,

Take a look at the Lowa Camino....I think you'll like it better than the Renegade.

I've been using testing Lowa boots throughout the winter, and the Kumbu and Camino are nice!

Renegades just don't last under more than average use. I'm a big fan of the Ranger.

my only piece of gear that makes me smile (and i would cry if it disappeared) are my Leica 10x50 Ultravid HD binos.

the rest of my stuff, i am happy with..just no real 'love" it is just stuff.

my new ELITE bow is getting there.

My favorites lately have been my western mountaineering flight jacket and sequoia sleeping bag, scarpa kinesis pro boots and suunto core watch. Been pounding the hell out of them for awhile but everything still looks new (other than the watch band tearing but was easily warrantied)

The only thing that simply can not be replaced is my USGI poncho liner with a camo fleece blanket sewn to it. It's heavy, but I have taken it everywhere with me. I will probably be buried with it.

My zeiss 10x32 T*FL glasses far and away. The swaro spotter has its place but still not loving one eyed glassing. With my zeiss I can glass all day without eye strain. Have to say this forum is the first place I've seen anyone else love them, most get caught up in the theoretical exit pupil debate. Only have 22 nights or so in the SL5 but completely sold. Won't leave the house without merino now either.

Pack - Sierra Designs Revival (I know some of you will think I'm nuts for using an internal frame, but this pack has been amazing for me)

Shelter - GoLite Shangri-La 2 (still relatively new with this, but I've been liking it so far)

Pad - Thermarest Zlite (love this classic ultralight pad. Comfy for me, and not a problem space-wise with some shock cord on the outside of my pack)

Boots - Lowa Ranger (incredible boot. period.)

Optic - Vortex Diamondback 8x42

The Lowa Rangers...they've just been phenomenal. I honestly don't think I'll ever buy a different boot.
