Thanks for the updates - I ordered a pair to give em a try. Will probably trek a staircase or two before tossing out the box since I tend to have heel slip issues on my Zamberlan's. Gonna try to hit the WT rut in Idaho panhandle for a couple days and look forward to having a little insulation. The uninsulated really suck once you set up below 20.

I broke mine in at the Panhandle last September. Can confirm that they work great for that terrain, especially the occasional side hilling through that thick nasty jungle. If you stay active you won't have to worry about the cold. 400 grams is perfect insulation for a hunting/hiking boot.
