Drew Idaho Unit 54 Archery Elk!

By some miracle I managed to draw Unit 54 Archery Elk this year. I grew up in Idaho Falls but never spent any time in that unit, and now I live 650 miles away, so I am going into this with absolutely no knowledge of the area. And of course I drew the tag right after we have our first child, so I am on a shorter leash this year and will have limited time to get out and do all the scouting this tag deserves. Hoping to get some input from someone who has hunted the unit before. I am more than willing to put the work in when I get there, but it is a big broken area so any information that can help narrow down some starting points, or provide any first hand knowledge of the area would be greatly appreciated.

With your limited time and primo tag have you considered calling Hoby Gartner and booking a hunt?

Never heard of Hoby Gartner, I assume his is a guide for that area? Or does he just do scouting services?
