Researching what everyone is using for powder when shooting 143 grain and having good luck with .
Have a 2 lbs of RL 17 hoping that will work .
Any other suggestions would be a great help .

Just joined the “ man bun” club myself. H4350 seems to be the go to powder. But it seems as though it’s not available. Wondering what the 2nd best is myself.

I’d lean towards H4350/RL16. I wasn’t happy with the temp stability and consistency of RL17.

I’m always leery of the temp sensitivity of the RL powders and run 42gr of H4350 in my 6.5 CM. Speeds are good and accuracy is amazing and consistent

RL16 is supposedly very temp stable but I have just started using it. I haven’t had any issues with RL26 not being temp stable.

140 Berger Hybrid over 41.0gr H4350 in Lapua brass lit by BR2 loaded to mag length. 2640 out of a 24” Kreiger. I shoot the same load for targets and game. Full length size, expand neck with carbide mandrel gives me single digit ES.
Played with RL 17 and 16 and never got the accuracy I get with H4350.

Where in the hell are you guys buying H4350 ? I have like 7 places that are supposed to notify when they get some. And I never hear from any of them.

I use h4350 and rl26. Just buy every pound when I see it. However I’m down to about a pound and a half of the h4350 and 2lbs of the rl26 and struggling to find it. IMR 4350 is nearly identical to the h4350 and I hear real good things with the RL16

This was at 200 yards on initial seating depth testing. Haven’t started working powder load but that was with 44 grains of rl26 out of Peterson srp brass
