Favorite 6.5 cm loads

Shooting Berger 140 VLDs with 43 grains of H4350 and Lapua brass small rifle primers has been my most consistent load.

42 grains of h4350 and 43 grains of the same looked good with Berger 140s need to play with them some more

I use h4350 and rl26. Just buy every pound when I see it. However I’m down to about a pound and a half of the h4350 and 2lbs of the rl26 and struggling to find it. IMR 4350 is nearly identical to the h4350 and I hear real good things with the RL16

You just missed both powder valley and Bruno’s had RL26 in stock.

RL16 and the 143 eldx has been my go to load in the 6.5 CM, I have been working with the 156 Berger and RL26 with good results also.

Haven't used it myself, but the new WInchester Staball 6.5 powder looks promising, and is in stock at a few places.

I have two 6.5 Creedmoors that I developed loads for last summer.

My Browning X-Bolt Long Range 6.5 Creedmoor with Hornady Brass, 26" barrel 43.0 grains of RL16 at 2,835

My son's Ruger American 6.5 Creedmoor with Hornady brass, 22" barrel (I think that is the length, but don't remember) and 43.3 grains of RL16 at 2,709 FPS.

I've made the switch to ADG brass so I will start load development this spring.

Two sub .4 moa loads, first load with H4350, 42.1, Hornady brass, federal 210M , and Nosler140 grain Ballistic Tip, coal at 2.768”. Second load identical but with IMR 4350,42.4 gn.

Tried IMR 4451, StaBall 6.5, W760, all with several loads each. Could get into .500-.700”, but not sub .5 MOA.
