First Lite Packable Puffy jacket

How long is it ok to keep this jacket packed in it's pocket? Heard people say its not good to keep them packed that way for extended period of time. thanks

As little as possible. Just like a sleeping bag, packing it compresses the insulation. Mine is compressed while traveling and while not being used ON a hunt and that’s it.

I tend to not ever pack it in its own pocket. I hang it when not in use and just stuff it in my pack during field use. I’m lazy and don’t want to fight a jacket when I’m cold. That’s how rips and tears happen.
