Lowa Ranger GTX

Is anyone here familiar with this boot? A buddy is looking to sell me a pair he bought back in 2019 (which either makes it a Ranger II or Ranger III). Other than a few hours of indoor wear to break them in, they haven’t been outside. I know new they run around $350, and he’s asking $180. Just wondering if they might be a good buy, or if I should take that money and put them towards new Crispis or Kenetreks.

I have posted my approval of that boot a number of times. I wouldn't have any hesitation about that deal if they fit your feet.

I have a pair. I think the same year as well.
Well worth the money you are paying for used.
If they fit, and meet the use it is intended for, you are getting a good deal.

Thanks, I’ll definitely pull the trigger in them. I’m a long-time backpacker, so I’m familiar with the brand though I’ve never owned a pair (I’m more of a Vasque or Scarpa guy).

I’ve had good luck with Lowa. Currently have the Tibet LL but am looking to get the Ranger as well
