I run a micro rocket. I don't think it's better or worse then any other canister fuel stove of similar design. It's not really the stove that is the issue. it's the cold and altitudes effect on fuel canisters that is the problem

If your really worried about performance I would look at the MSR reactor or the wind pro 2

isobutane stoves work well at altitude. The cold is what kills them. If you can keep the canister warm they will work fine.
