NM Elk 1st Rifle

Hey Everyone,

I drew the 1st rifle hunt for elk this year near Taos, west of the gorge. I’ve hunted this unit before during archery season and was able to find elk but I have no idea what it will be like come October. Anybody have experience rifle hunting this area? What should I look out for?

Wait, you’ve hunted it before during archery but don’t know how to hunt it in October?
