Nockturnal Issues?

Ordered some new Nocturnals on Black Friday and have two questions…

1 - they don’t match previous batches… I’ve ordered from gohunt, Amazon, and my local shop and seem to get each style irregularly. Most of the “old” are from Amazon or my local shop. Latest batch “new” are from gohunt. Are both styles legit or is one fake?

2 - how on earth do you get these things into the arrow? Easton axis 5mm… I had to put the back of the nock on a fairly hard surface and push to get some in. I have 2 that won’t go in with probably 30-40lbs of force on them and I’m concerned I’m gonna break something!

One more pic.

New ones are thicker and a lot snugger on the string.

I've never had great luck with those. In a pack of 3, 1 isn't like the other 2. Either the color is dimmer or doesn't work at all. I essentially buy 3 packs to have 2 fully functional packs.

Some dudes at my archery range swear by some stupid Amazon cheapies.

I didn't use them last year and not having to mess with them was awesome... but it would have been really nice to have when I shot my elk in the evening this year so I figured I'd give them another go.

I'll try a little string wax on them. Thanks!

I will either wax the tight ones or put a dab of superglue on the loose ones and let it harden, then try to push it in- if it’s too tight, lightly sand the superglue and keep test fitting until they do
