Thanks for all the notes of encouragement and similar stories.

So far the tech says I just need new cables. The cable teardrop loop serving was starting to unravel, so just to be safe I ordered a new one.

Also as I was going over it in detail, I checked all the bolts and half were loose, so I just retightened everything.

New cables on thurs and crossing my fingers I’m back in business.

I did this earlier in the year when switching to a thumb trigger release. You can easily pull to the side, which pulls the string off the track in the cams.

I feel your pain! I dry fired my 60# BTX-31 at a 3-D shoot a couple of weeks ago... in front of the entire Bowtech pro shop staff!! Embarrassing to say the least! My 10 year old was blabbing away as usual and I just lost focus and forgot to nock an arrow. String blew up, splintered two of the limbs, and warped both cams. All those nice Bowtech folks felt so bad for me they took the bow with them and I had it back two days later, good as new! Can't say enough about the Bowtech pro shop, some of the nicest people out there! Definitely take it in, damage may not be obvious.
