That's interesting on the tooth pull. When I got mine in the Yukon, Game and Fish just counted rings.

they still count rings, but evidently will sometimes pull a tooth to check against their ring count; the outfitter heard that the tooth generally revealed an older ram vs the ring count

there is an outfit in Montana (maybe others) that do it

It’s the Firedot ballistic reticle; two hashes below the dot- with a 200 yd zero the first hash is 300, the second 400 and the top of the duplex is 500. Pretty easy system.

Seemed like they did (I’m not a 100% up on all AK regs); not sure if a game warden as a client made them a little nervous or not
