As a side note, the Chukchi Sea sub-population are genetically, the largest Polar Bears in the world and equal in size to Coastal Alaskan Brown Bears. Phenomenally huge bears, and unfortunately, forever protected from American recreational hunters, due to the MMPA and the ESA.
