Anyone running off road chains on bigger mud terrains? If so, what did you get?
I also use a similar set up on my Jeep with 37sI bought a set of chains for a 22"-24" semi truck tire. I had to cut about 10" off the end to work.
In a nutshell, they're awesome. Super tough, no bungee cords....all cam adjustable and can get super tight. They are quick to install and remove, and most of all......they're super tough.
I paid $150 for 4 chains.
No tire will offer as much traction or clean as well as chains. Tires offer no traction on ice either. Chains are easy insurance, at Les Schwab you can return chains if you don't use them for a restocking fee.I’ve installed brand new mud tires on my Duramax this week in preparation for my return trip out west.
With brand new mud tires do you think chains are necessary?
I’m thinking the chains will work their way into the gaps on these tires.
Thoughts?
