So I was shooting through my buddies chronograph with reloads and I was getting a muzzle velocity average of 2760 today I finally had time to shoot alittle further I typed in all my info into the shooter app and set up the target at 450 yards. I read the app and adjusted my scope where it told me to and I was shooting about 3 feet low. I had to adjust my velocity on the app all the way down to 2275 to be hitting where I was aiming. I know the calculator isn’t perfect but that seems way off. My buddy is shooting the same gun, same reloads, same scope, same data entered in the same app and he has his velocity set at 2650 and is hitting where it needs to be. I’m lost.

I use Hornady's calculator. I have to input what exact yardage my load is zeroed at. I understand your 1.5" high at 100. Did you input your zero as 200 yards?

What cartridge?

3 feet lower than your dialed solution is a LOT—at 450 yards thats about as much as most centerfire cartridges drop from a 100 yard zero without any adjustment at all. Something in your inputs is very wrong. Folks will need more info to tell you what, but personally Id start over with ALL new inputs. 3’ low is the sort of error youd get dialing a mil solution into an moa scope, or some other error of that magnitude.

Just a thought. Make sure the set screws that hold your turret dial to the vertical adjustment post are snug. I've seen those slip before.

Is "zero height" referring to the sight height? As in distance vertically from the reticle to the bore?

EDIT: Closer inspection of the screenshots has revealed this answer.

What does the app spit out if you make it zero at 200, could be app error not accounting for the 1.5 zero height at 100?
If I put it back to velocity 2760 which the chronograph said I was shooting it says up 6.5. If I have it at the 2250 that I needed to put it at for it to not be low it says up 10.5
