I'm pretty sure it doesn't float. It's on legs. I didn't open one but they're probably customizable to cooler size. They have a video out somewhere. I'll see what I can find.

At KDC booth. You won't find a lighter backcountry tripod or bipod system.

Robby way to give KDC some love. I have his V2 snipepod and I think it is an awesome lightweight back country bipod. I could be wrong but I don't think he does a ton of advertising, at least I've never seen more than an ad or two of his over the years. Anyone who has been looking for a great lightweight bipod should definitely check him out!

Back county, KDC is on a sponsor now. Watch for some reviews and a giveaway soon. Terry is a Smart guy who builds some unique gear

Good to hear he's on board! He definitely does make some unique gear that fills a very special niche and is very functional.

One of my favorite items, it takes a beating and still works like new.

You remember how much weight that tripod can handle? Not a fan of ballheads for glassing.

Thanks guys. I did a video on the granite peak tripod last fall. It's on our YouTube channel. You can't get lighter than KDC

Sneaky there's certainly a trade off between function and weight with the system, but the weight savings is far better than what you give up using the ball head
The system is built for smaller optics like 50mm scopes/10x binos.

Here's the video KDC Granite Peak Ultralight Tripod - YouTube

While I have you guys' attention and we're talking gear, wanted to make sure you knew about staff writer Les Welch's "New Year, New Season" thread. Les is one of our longest running writers, and can help anyone become a better elk and whitetail hunter. Les is raw, honest, and serious about killing bulls and bucks or whatever he sets out to hunt.

Residing in Wisconsin, he's proven that you don't have to live in the West to get it done every year out here. He's also paired up with some Rokslide sponsors for ongoing gear reviews and to get some gear in your hands.

Follow his thread in the elk forum:
http://www.rokslide.com/forums/elk/59471-season.html

His preview video is up now and you can get in on a Heads Up Decoy Heads Up Decoy - YouTube

Every once in a while I'll see a score posted by one of these animals and think someone's got a short tape. 207?!?

This is really what The Expo is about, helping wildlife. Mule Deer Foundation is a big part of this show and many would argue "The better half".
If you're not a member, think about supporting them
