I dont think its a heavy setup for truck camping , close to the road, or using motorized transport to get it to the properdestination. The tent, center pole, and 2.5 inner mesh your hauling over 6.5lbs+, if my memory serves me right. I love the hot tent set when the weathers nasty but I dont...
Also...this isn't a light set up for running with bulls but a decent base camp shelter! I like tinkering with the stove more than anything...lol! I run the Kuiu Mountain Star most of the time as I like to stay on them! I really wouldn't wanna set this guy up daily, but someone else might!
I also run the Octopeak and it's a great cold weather set up, if I am not running and gunning! I've deer hunted more out it but it's been on 3 elk trips. It held up well in some bad weather and heavy snows in 9° temperatures and Iwas just fine! I seam silled it myself and never was wet or...
Just chop it! Good stuff and thanks for the information! I think I just like it better at 18" suppressed. My 6.5 Grendal and 7.62x39 are both 18" suppressed and I love them! I think I will take it down to 18"! Thanks guys
Okay! Good...I'll run the steel and possibly get a better action with that extra money! Main deal was I didn't wanna ruin the range too much by cutting it down! Thanks for the insight.
I've recently purchased a cheaper long range build in a Bergera 6.5 CM HMR. Nice Trijicon glass, GG&G mount, and Talley mount. The barrel is 22" long and I'll run it suppressed. I'll deer hunt with it occasionally out of tower blinds on large fields but the barrel length is way long. I plan on...
I am behind on the thread but I've ran the 0° bag for 3 years in some freezing temperatures and a buddy of mine ran the same quilt without an issue! It's good stuff! They have adjusted them prices as of late 🤨but still quality down!
I really do like the boots! I have the new Lapponia II GTX and the new altitude that don't fit and I'll be selling those on here later, but I still stick with Crispi because they seem to fit my weird feet the best!!! The Vortex boot...thats great! Good stuff...
It's old thread but struck a nerve! I know people like what they like but if it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's a bad product! Another year on these Thor II GTX's and they been put through it!!!! I am a fan of Crispi boots! Go for what your comfortable with....
Heck one year we rolled into Walmart at midnight for otc tags (after driving 17 hours) and the unit we've hunted and killed for 3 years was no longer considered otc! A plan B Qasim definitely needed at this point!!!
