    Norma Evostrike lead free (tin)

Chamois, do you notice less recoil with Evostrike? In my 30-06, evostrike will be 40 grains lighter than the regular bullet we use.

    Norma Evostrike lead free (tin)

Yes very helpful, thank you. I have to hope I get good accuracy myself and then we'll see about shooting at an animal. Tom

    "Hot" Primers

I also use 209A. Sometimes we're hunting subzero temps in Minnesota and I want as much 🔥 in the powder as possible when the trigger is pulled.

    Norma Evostrike lead free (tin)

I will test it out for accuracy soon enough and I can post my results. I'll probably get out and shoot it in January. I'll post everything that I learn about it. I have some reservations about the makeup of the bullet but I'm in touch with Norma about it as well. Hopefully a year from now I...

    The future of Lead

My kids eat a lot of venison. I switched to lead because even if their IQ dropped just a couple points (or some other consequence) from lead that was too much. Also eagles.

Verify a torque wrench in the twin cities?

I use a FAT wrench and I would like to verify that I am getting the inch pounds I am supposed to. Does anyone in the cities have a torque wrench that I could test against to verify? I know this is a long shot, but I don't want to just buy another one if I do not need it. Tom

Scope ring vs scope manufacture inch lb recommendation

Well dang I use a fat wrench. They suspect that the fat wrench was going over on the poundage?

Scope ring vs scope manufacture inch lb recommendation

Yeah that leads to my current conundrum. Vortex says to go 18 lb on the scope rings. DNZ says to go 30 or 35 lb on the rings. I want to secure the scope and I also want to make sure I don't damage the scope. This on a muzzleloader with some strong recoil... Tom

Scope ring vs scope manufacture inch lb recommendation

Yes I only use it on base screws... However I am trying to solve scope slipping issues and I am reading up on it: I've heard of scope tape (not just regular tape), rosin, silicone and I am trying to understand if something out there can keep a scope in my rings.

Do you use loctite on the scope itself? Bottom ring? What color is "medium" loctite? Thanks in advance. Tom
