    Hunting performance wear

I just got a FL unpronounceable jacket and that thing is nice. Light and feels damn good. Not sure how it will hold up... seems a little thin to me but then again, I am no expert. I guess we shall see in less than 2 weeks.

Not the end of the world, but my big mistake

I did this earlier in the year when switching to a thumb trigger release. You can easily pull to the side, which pulls the string off the track in the cams.

Rise of popularity in elk hunting

I agree with you... I grew up in Florida, if all you yankees would keep out of my state and off my beaches life would be better... sounds a little like your elk argument.

Weight vs Speed, yeah that thread again..

I agree. Not that I know much of anything, but I did move up in arrow weight this year and my shooting is way way better. Way more accurate. At your draw length, you may be under spinned at 350. Again, I'm no expert, but I have never been as consistent. I'm shooting a 556gr arrow.

    Hunting arrow weight and speed

Black eagle spartan300 spine@ 28 7/8" carbon-to-carbon, 200gr iron will head, 4 fletched AAE MAX Stealth vanes totaling 555gr. Shooting my Halon32 with 28.5"draw @ 70lbs. It is shooting lights out right now, but I am going to experiment with a 250 spine to see what happens.

Who's Given Up On Lighted Nocks?

I have shot nockturnals for the last few years. Honestly, I liked them for misses more than anything. Shot a at a buck a three years ago and was sure it was a good shot but couldn't find the arrow, and only a speck of blood. After searching for an hour or so, it got dark and that lighted nock...

    Colorado GMU 53

Now with the fires in the SW, I am looking at other options for my archery hunt this year. I have been looking into 53 as well. My only turn off is the amount of trails in there. From OnX, it really doesn't look like you could get much further than a mile off the beaten path. I may still try...

    Finally got it!

What fixed BH are you using? I'm about to take the exact same journey. Getting a fletching jig this week, and I will begin going about a different arrow setup... with a lot heavier overall arrow and FOC. I'm considering a 200gr iron will up front and 3" 3 fletch or 4 fletch in the back, with...

After spending the last 8 months pouring over hours of research on what unit to pick for this fall archery hunt, I finally picked 74, nerves are finally at ease...until about 30 seconds ago when I find this thread....

    Colorado GMU 70

I have been looking over many posts and questions here and finally decided to start asking my own... I am (like soooo many others on here) heading out to CO this year. My wife is taking my daughter to NY so I finally got the opportunity to take my own little vacation, without feeling the guilt-...

    CO unit 65 questions.

I'm actually looking at this unit, or surrounding units as well... is your comment based off of something particular, do you suggest any of the surrounding units? 70? 74? Picking out a unit to go to seems to be the hardest damn part of this, but I guess if someone from out west wanted to come...
