Asking $130 (paid $152 for it new)
I'm selling my brand spanking new T.Rex Arms Sidecar appendix carry holster. It's fit for a Glock 19 with a Surefire X300U-A weapon light and an optic. I'm selling it because I am switching my light to a smaller version. The X300U-A just sticks out too far...
My dad is 72 and still hunts. I want to get him a nice day pack but he would appreciate something simple. He wouldn't need a load shelf or spend the time figuring out how to use one anyway...
I was thinking of getting him a Stone Glacier Avail but I fear it would be overkill.
Anyone have...
Hey folks, I'll be hunting mule deer in New Mexico this November (I'll be in the Gila) and assuming I get a deer (big assumption lol), I'm wondering if I should go with the gutless method or not. Obviously if it's warm, I want to get that animal cooled down as quick as possible. Gutting seems...
Hey folks, I'm going on my first mule deer hunt this November in New Mexico and I've been training with my gear and loaded pack to prepare.
I want to make sure I can carry a bone in muley hind quarter with my gear but I am not sure what one weighs.
Has anyone actually weighed one? I'd rather...
Hey folks, I have a Phone Skope with a GoPro adapter for my spotting scope and whenever I try to record or take a picture through my spotter, it's always washed out with too much light. Is there a way to adjust for this on the GoPro?
Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks says that bonus points can be purchased starting July 1st. I checked the website and they don't seem to be available. Am I looking in the wrong place or are they just not up yet?
I just picked up a GoPro Hero6 and plan to take it with me on future hunting trips. I'm wondering what folks use to keep their camera and accessories (batteries, memory cards, etc.) organized in their packs. Seems you wouldn't want things loose and get your lenses scratched up.
What do folks...
I want to get a pouch to carry my Garmin InReach Explorer+ on my backpack shoulder straps or hip belt (Stone Glacier) and I'm wondering if folks have recommendations for brands and models of pouches that they have experience with. If you do, please share.
Thanks!
This may be equivalent to finding a unicorn... I don't know :D
I bought a Sea to Summit "Aeros Pillow Ultra Light" which is a single-chambered inflatable. It packs down super small but it is not comfortable for me. If you don't have it fully inflated, your head can just flop over to the less...
Hey folks,
I have a Stone Glacier 3300 solo and I'm wondering what methods folks use to strap down their tripod.
For my spotter, I have the SG spotter pocket that attaches to the side. That is on the left side of my pack and on the right I have the rifle sling.
Should I just strap the tripod...
I'm hunting mule deer in New Mexico this year during the rifle season (Nov 10-14). I'll be driving down a couple of days early from Wisconsin, hunting for up to 5 days, and then driving all the way back home.
I want to keep my deer bone-in so I will clearly need a cooler (or coolers) big enough...
I'm looking at a few different tripods and one of the differentiators seems to be how the legs lock. Two options I've seen are twist lock and flip lock.
It seems to me that the twist locks may be annoying to deal with. Is it?
Which of the two options would you recommend and why?
I drew my mule deer 2nd rifle tag (Nov 10-14) for a southern New Mexico unit that has mountains in the 7-8k ft range but also some more arid, less mountainous area.
The larger, more remote sections of this unit are in the more mountainous area and I'd really prefer to spend my time in that area...
Today I successfully drew a Mule Deer tag for New Mexico and I could swear I read somewhere that you need a certain permit if you're hunting in a wilderness or national forest area.
Am I confused? I can't find an appropriate permit on the NM Dept of Game and Fish site and I also can't find the...
I've been looking at the Sea to Summit Alpha Long Spork but there are some reviews that mention how food tends to stick to the surface.
Is anyone aware of a better spork that is long but doesn't tend to get food stuck to it? I was hoping to find a titanium one like Snow Peak but for some reason...
GoHunt has what seems to be a pretty good deal on a Zeiss Conquest Gavia spotting scope and I'm curious if anyone else has tried them and has opinions.
Also, the GoHunt folks said they're made in Germany but I found some posts online that say they're made in Asia now. Can anyone confirm either...
I thought I'd post this as a warning to anyone else thinking about ordering a firearm from Cabelas that needed to be shipped from another store: Prepare yourself for it to take longer than they say it will or better yet, buy from someone else who actually knows how to ship things and keep...
I have a Stone Glacier Solo 3300 which I really like and I am looking for suggestions on how to add some blaze orange to it for when I am hunting in places that require it.
Mystery Ranch makes their "Blaze Stick It" which seems pretty cool but I am not sure if it'll fit on the Stone Glacier...
