    CPW - ‘Righting’ some Wrongs

As a NR, I feel they should raise prices for OTC tags to at least the average of the other states. Because (and I am guilty of this), Colorado OTC is always the backup plan if MT or WY etc Is not drawn. If i was willing to drop 1100 bucks on a "general draw", i'm willing to pay ~900 to 1100 for...

    Official Montana 2023 Draw Thread!

My buddy and I are in at 0, drew in 2019, hoping to draw again. Especially with Winter Kill in Colorado (the hopeful backup OTC option).

    Another truck thread....Ford guys

I can confirm about the 6.2L reliability. I have a 2011 F150 with the 6.2 (you could get it as an option in 10-11 i think in the higher trims). Im sitting at 210K right now with no problems other than an AC condenser that started leaking and 1 radiator crack, but no real drivetrain issues, or...

Ways to holster your side arm to bag or self during elk hunt

I’ve been carrying my G19 in a Razco FHF holster that fits my AGC Bino harness. Just picked up a G40 and a Razco for it as well. I’ve drawn twice when startling bears and it’s super natural and quick. Would recommend 100 percent

High arch, High Volume, Skinny Foot

So I have elk hunted the past two years and plan to do it yearly. The first year I got a deal on some Under Armour Bozeman 2.0 boots. They were very comfortable and had no problems hiking around the hills of middle tn. However, all of my break in hiking was on trails. When I got to Montana, I...

Free Scout to Hunt mapping...,.what's your take?

No experience with Scout to Hunt, but OnX has been great for me. However, unless OnX Changes something i will be moving all of my waypoints over to GoHunt Maps when the app comes out. Imagery was much better, 3d, Nice tools and sharing. In addition to all of the normal gohunt features beyond...

    Elk tactics?

Be patient and enjoy being in nature. If you aren’t finding fresh sign move within your unit or to a different unit until you find sign. After that I have no advice. We are currently on our way back to TN after 7 days spend in 4 different units in different parts of the state. Chased one bugle...

Meat/Skull Logistics for CWD restricted Travel

Thanks!! I’ll do some searching now that I know some do that! That would be ideal vs buying a pot and trying to scrape brain matter when I could be back in the woods with buddies calling for them. Thanks so much for the tip!!!!

Meat/Skull Logistics for CWD restricted Travel

Headed out for our second elk hunt tomorrow, headed to CO (Grand Junction/Collbran general area). Last year we struck out but in case we were successful we were discussing logistics considering we are from TN and we have CWD importation restrictions (no bone or nuerological tissue) Meat...

    Bugle report

Heading out to CO from TN on Friday! Can’t wait. Hopefully they’ll be bugling but if not we’ll try plans A B and C and try midday stalking on north slopes. Either way better than sitting in a whitetail stand and heck of a lot better than work!

Protect your gear from being stolen?

Ive got a campershell that locks and I will be keeping stuff out of sight, but you cant really hide coolers and what not. However, depending on what kind of truck you have there may be some secret storage. it sounds like Sean D has a tundra that does. I know most F150s behind the rear seat you...

    Sleeping pad HELP

Just replaced my Static V with a Nemo Tensor insulated. great combo of price, weight, and R value. If weight isnt as much of an issue the Sea to Summit comfort plus insulated is stupid comfortable AND you have redundancy built in because of the upper and lower chambers.

    Exo Mtn Gear Customer Service

I concur, last year when I ordered my K2 3500 they had an metal supplier issue where the shipment of raw materials didn't make it so there was a 4-6 week delay. They went above and beyond to offer me a reduced price on a K2 whenever it got made or the ability to preorder the K3 for that same...

    OnxMaps Imagery

I dont know the answer to your question but I agree. I do all of my E scouting on GE Pro and then save all of my Pins and then import them into ONx just for using as GPS / Land Boundaries. If not i wouldnt have to. GE Pro is very powerful though. It would be nice if they had as detailed imagery.
