Thanks all for the contributions!
I ended up finding the AAE Mountain Series in a warehouse here in Canada and for a sale price I couldn't pass up.
12" front with 8° quick disconnect and 8" back bar in the Atlas.
So far so good in my limited testing. I'm very pleased with how they've balanced...
I realize it's been more than a minute lol but are your Axius grip plates still kicking around?
I have the Axius Alpha but presume the grips are the same between Alpha and Ultra.
Cheers
Thank you I will definitely keep that in mind!
The Microhex Counterslide is very intriguing to me...I really wish one of the local retailers carried them so I could try it on.
Even the dovetail version that adds a little weight over the static mounted one, is lighter than any front and back stab...
Looking to add stabilizers to my Hoyt 29.5 ATA.
Plan to go with 10&8 as I'm often enough in a groundblind. 8° qd front mount and Shrewd Atlas on rear.
The current list I've widdled down to is below (Weight of 10+8" without their end weights, going by published stats and or speaking with the...
I mounted Spot Hogg Fast Eddie double pin onto the Axius Alpha last night and the riser is partially blocking the sight housing ring. Is this normal? Looking at your photos above it looks as though your sight ring is partially blocked by the riser as well...am I seeing your photo correctly...
Thank you everyone for all your feedback and shared experiences.
I just came across a great deal on a Fast Eddie double pin and pulled the trigger.
Looking forward to getting it on and set up.
Next is figuring out which quiver will work best along side the Fast Eddie and Hamskea Trinity rest...
Thank you that's music to my ears!
Curious if you have a spacer in there to bring it further off the bow; at the sight mount? or is that just the regular Tightspot mount affixed to your sight mount bracket?
Thanks for sharing, big help indeed!
Any Hoyt AxiusAlpha (or RX4) owners running a Hamskea rest, that can chime in with their experience of the best fitting quiver?
I'm open to most any brand TightSpot, Hoyt Solo, Kwikee Kwiver, Fuse etc.
My understanding is that Hamskea rests don't always allow enough clearance for just any...
My goal is to get a slider in or around 10oz.
Currently the 2 front runners are the Fast Eddie 2 pin and Ascent Verdict single pin with 4" dovetail.
Pros for the Black Gold
Love the natural brightness of the Black Gold pin,
the ability to adjust sight radius with the dovetail,
overall weight...
Good to know thank you! I must have been looking at your posting last night actually. I attempted to message you but I dont have that privilege as of yet. Been a member since June but I haven't contributed enough as I understand it.
I'm in Ontario and my work has been looking for a similar set...
How did it work out on your Sawtooth? Did you end up thinning with mineral spirits or similar?
Also curious what brand of sealer the 2 small tubes were?
Cheers
Although I don't have experience with the Kuiu SD Pro, I will say the Kelvin Lite Down is plenty warm for mid season and has found its place in layering for late season. Still very pleased with it and no buyers remorse here.
Awesome! I'm on the hunt for a pocket that stows an MSR Windburner Duo 1.8L. I'm guessing that older style pocket you show with your 1.0L Windburner, in size Medium would fit the bill perfectly. Any ideas?
Thx!
I've ran the number and on paper it appears the 1.8L Duo will only fit in the Large Compression pocket but I'm wondering if any of you Kifaru owners that have a MSR Duo or Reactor 1.7L can tell me which accessory pockets your stove nestles into? Obviously I can just pack it into main bag but I'm...
I've been wondering about holding the meat in place with all that room inside the main bag...do you use extra compression strap(s) inside the bag to hold the load in place? With the attachments points on back panel inside the M2 I could see snugging down the meat tight to back.
Also, accessory...
So I ordered one in Pyrite end of June and the lid wouldn't stay up. Contacted Sitka, they sent out a warranty replacement. It arrived and with the same issue.
On the warranty replacement unit sometimes the right hand side magnets will engage if I flip it in reverse order (similar to your photo...
Although I don't have the regular KLH, I can tell you how the Large Kelvin Lite Down jacket fits my frame. It feels like it was tailored for me. Fitted where it should be but enough breathing room to wear base layers and fleece like heavy weight hoody underneath. I threw on the Kelvin Active...
Here's a photo with the Lite Down size Large compressed in its hood. I don't have the regular Lite Hoody for a direct comparison but hope this photo can help. It should be noted that I can compress it further when using both hands; I'd say it compresses a tad smaller than a Nalgene bottle. I...
