I purchased this rifle used several years ago. Round count should be around 200. I believe the weight of the gun to be right at 7lbs 12oz. The gun would come with Warne bases and an EGW rail. I also put a rail on the bottom for a bipod. I had a professional trigger job done. I believe it...
Weight first, then ease of set up, followed by durability. That order could change with more hunts. I should add as well that it needs to pack down small. My hilleberg had to be attached to the outside of my bag
I did look at the silex and will look at it again. I won’t carry camp every day on my back. The area I hunt almost requires trekking poles. I liked the idea of being able to walk away from a standing tent if I wanted to.
After going on my first elk trip in colorado this year, i am going to be purchasing another tent. I have a Hilleberg Nallo 2 GT that i stayed in this year. Awesome tent but i wont use it for a september/october archery hunt. It performed awesome but it took up more space and was heavier than...
Got this on a bow i purchased and i already have the pro. Pins are .19, .19, and .10. No tapes, but i have some tapes for my sight. If it worked, I could send the tapes I won’t be using. $225 shipped. Text is easiest. 712-789-1816
I just returned from an archery elk hunt in colorado. It was my first time out. It was a great trip with the exception of my sleeping bag. I purchased a WM Kodiak GWS 0 degree bag after reading that i could just unzip it and control the temperature. That didn't work for me. I was either...
Bag is 6’6” and left zip. Purchased in may and used one trip. Bag was used with a liner in a floored tent on an air mattress. It is like new. It is to warm for me. Would like to trade for badger in same set up. Would sell for $750.
Did you find a bag? I purchased a WM Kodiak GWS 6'6" for an elk trip that is over. It was a little warm for me. I think i will buy a lighter bag. It was used for one week with a liner on a pad and is like brand new.
Looking to get my first tent that will be used to hunt elk in colorado. This fall it will be used in September but it will also see some october use in the coming years. I prefer to buy good stuff on the front end. I will be hiking in 5-7 miles on average. I believe that i want a 2 man tent...
I have a set of 8.5x42 els that I am thinking of selling. I believe they are somewhere around 2006 models. I love the bonocs but plan on doing some western hunts and want some more zoom.
I believe the crib for the exo would address that issue. I might just have to break down and order both. Like you, I think the bag design on the exo is more desirable but people swear by that xcurve.
Looking at these two packs and I think I have read every article and watched every video on these. Leaning towards the SG but I keep looking at the EXO. From what I read, the XCurve frame handles weight a little better. I don't need the space of the 6900 but for the minimal weight increase...
like some of the others have said they are difficult to draw on. Shot one a couple years ago with my bow but everything lined up just right. I’ve tried to draw on several with no luck.
I prefer two units. Used a set of Swarovski range finding binos and and I prefer my regular Swaros and a rangefinder. Not sure of the weight difference but the non rangefinding binos are more comfortable for longer periods.
