    Kifaru Black Friday Sale 2020

The kifaruaustralia site had 20% off on all in-stock items, so I got a guide lid, meat baggie and 2x sets (S/M/L/XL) mesh pullouts. Then the next day I got a regular/wide slick bag on eBay for $334 USD delivered, it’s been slept in once so basically brand new.

Camping / Hiking / Hunting setup

Gotta say thanks man, your comments cost me about 4 hours of extra research, a lot of deliberation, plus about 4.4lbs and $100 extra. That’s all good things BTW, wouldn’t want to buy too small with this and have buyers remorse for the sake of $100. I decided that instead of the 8 and Tipi...

    Getting into hunting shape

Advanced calisthenics. Being able to move your bodyweight on your arms or legs through its whole range of motion should be step 1 in functional strength. Get the Convict Conditioning book and work the 6 power moves through all their 10 steps (each), starting at beginner through intermediate and...

Camping / Hiking / Hunting setup

Good idea! The other thing about the 8 is, that’s the biggest size they build a nest for, which is a wife / family camping requirement.

Camping / Hiking / Hunting setup

The SO 8 can use the guy loops to go down to a 6. I get what you’re saying, but it should be big enough for at least 5 years of family camping though.

Looks nice, direct competitor would be the SO SXL, but at a $140 and ~1lbs premium.

Canvas for car camping, so no, anything synthetic is going to be leagues lighter. I’ll have a look at the stove though. I haven’t TBH, should probably look into their modular solutions. I love the headroom in the 8 person Tipi though. How so? Too big? Too small?

    ..deeper into the wild...

Hi y’all, Johann here from Australia. I’m 42 and have been in and around hunting for years, but always said I want to go deeper into the wild. I’m finally doing something about it with my gear purchases and training, so registered here for some advice. If anyone wants to weigh in, please have...

What are you getting your wife for Christmas this year?

Ignorance is bliss. My Danner Striker EMS boots treated me well enough that I made assumptions about the brand. Am I wrong?

What are you getting your wife for Christmas this year?

I got her Danner Mountain 600 hiking boots. We’re also getting an SO tent, but that’s not gift wrapped for her.

Camping / Hiking / Hunting setup

Hi all, new to Rokslide here, but have bow hunted before and getting back into it (with a rifle this time). I recently (finally) got my 1st Kifaru pack, a Fulcrum on a 24” Duplex Lite frame. Next on the list is a hot tent I can stand up in, but it needs to serve me for family car camping...
