I had never heard of this. Looks awesome. I just spent my lunch break hockey taping the metal and putting bits of bike inner tube over the buckles to mediocre effect. The stealth products look way better on both accounts. Thanks!
New to treestand hunting. Picked up a Lone Wolf Alpha and some Muddy stagger steps. May change out the sticks for something lighter and more compact for next year, but maybe not - as a newbie I'm loving the security of the stagger steps. But, obviously they are bulky and heavy. Fine with that...
Thanks to all who responded. Got a BD Alpine BOD (in a size up) winging it's way to me. Going to try a few different lineman belt attachment methods - Clipping right on to the belt behind the leg attachment, putting carabiners in the same spots and clipping to them, clipping to the middle and...
Ah so you just hook the ‘biners of the linesman rope right to the belt portion of the harness. Makes sense, but how do they not slide back and forth? What holds them there?
Thanks, I love this guy’s videos! I hadn’t seen this one yet, just the previous iteration where he sewed some daisy chain loops on with webbing which I’m not ready to do. This is encouraging!
New tree stand hunter here - please bear with me. I'm trying to get geared up for a "run and gun" public land set up - meaning that I won't ever be leaving my stand up - it goes with me when I leave. I bought a lone wolf alpha hang on stand and some pretty basic muddy stagger steps and gave it...
So I was doing some research on these for the same reason you were - the weight. I see you ended up buying and then selling some. What did you think of them? Obviously not enough to keep them, but did you have any thoughts about them?
New hunter here - I'm sure this is common knowledge to most of you, so apologies in advance...
In a recent search for optics I looked at a LOT of different threads and saw quite a number of people referencing sending their optics in for work. Not just warrantee repair work, but other stuff too...
These are exceptionally good points. As for the Lasik, THIS seems like the only "no-brainer" in the hunting optics world. Once the plague has passed over us, Lasik is going on the docket.
As for the responses to the original question about the necessity of high end spotting scopes, etc. I've...
It's such a hard one though. I can't think of a time in my life where I've regretted buying quality a year later, but I can think of lots of times when I have regretted buying low end almost immediately. But then again, not even close to every low end decision has been regrettable. I suppose we...
Thanks Joe, great write-up. So after using it a bit, do you still feel that this size of scope still has a place in your backpack for the hunting you do?
