I have the standard Torrex and I absolutely love it. Bought it as my first bow and I don’t see needing or wanting to upgrade for a ‘flagship’ bow for years to come. It does what it needs to do and it does it extremely well.
Personally I would spend the money on the trip / gear related to the trip but I don’t know where you’re at from a financial perspective. You can always upgrade after the season.
Yeah it’s a shame, Texas is in dire need of revamping their public land management and incentivize some of these ranchers to get on state hunting programs.
Thanks for the comment. I plan on hunting muzzle loader season with my bow for that exact reason - with things being as dense as they are I assume shots are limited to relatively short distance anyway, even with a muzzleloader. I’ll look into the quota hunts for sure.

Apparently not toxic to humans or dogs, but like another poster said, it is toxic to cats. Misquitos are insanely attracted to me (Type O Positive Blood), and I haven't had an issue during this hot muggy early dear season with them after starting to use this. Here you go.
