    How far away can you smell deer?

    Ended up seeing a fork horn and a small 8 point chasing a doe. Heard something get up and walk within earshot at dark but never could see it. But it was nearly downwind from me.

    I wonder why the difference. Mine were wore out in the crotch. I think that was a known issue as the newer ones have a nylon fabric there instead of merino.

    my favorite thru the years has be the 30.06..not just because I have killed enough deer with it to know if I do my part I don’t have to worry about finding my deer. But it’s common enough and most of the guys at camp shoot it too. There’s value in being easy to get these days.
