Another vote for the Beta Xtrainer. I have one for a spare bike that my sons and friends ride. Super light weight and awesome linear power. You could grow into it power wise as well, if you felt you needed more later you can throw some parts at it and turn it into a hot rod 300 if you ever need to.

As far as rekluse goes, try one if you can. Plenty of people say it makes you lazy and you should learn to clutch but if it makes your riding more fun and enjoyable who cares! I had one on a Crf450rx that i rode in the woods. That bike was a lot more prone to stalling than my previous bike. I really liked it on the 450. Now im on a 300 2t Sherco. That bike is nearly impossible to stall if the throttle is cracked at all. I do miss the Left hand rear brake that is a must if your running a rekluse.
