Here is last years blacktail from western Washington. this guy is a pretty true BT.
Not much of a story, I had one evening to hunt general season since I had spent the previous two weeks hunting elk in Idaho and a Washington bull tag (killed a spike...dammit anyway). worked out for me though. I jumped him is some old dense timber and he bolted, I just walked slowly on a game trail and in about 3-4 minutes I spotted him peaking around a tree at me maybe 100yds. Pulled up and shot him in the neck. This was my first blacktail.
