Don’t forget that you have to make a noise to stop them in your shooting lane…. Did that this year, and it is so much easier to have a hunting partner to call for you than to solo hunt ( reinforced). Practicing holding full draw for a minute actually paid off on the big bull I got, he stared me down for a minute plus at 6 yards before he stepped into my shooting lane

Colorado OTC isn't elk hunting anymore, doesn't matter if it's the first week or last week people are everywhere and based on the elk sign in the unit I was in the herd is declining or moved to private. It's definitely changed the last few years.
