225 Eld match terminal performance

Filled my B tag yesterday. This is the first elk I’ve shot with the 225.
I was pretty happy. Aside from the meat loss. Impact velocity was 2500. Forgive the lighting. It’s harder to get a good picture wearing a headlamp than I would have thought.

Bullet hit long bone at arrow

Through into ribs

Into chest

Out of the chest

Bullet against bone off side quarter

Jacket and core right next to each other but not connected.

Great pictures! I’m getting ready to start using 225 eldms. So it went through the leg bone on the way in and then a rib as well on the inside? Then through offside shoulder, or were those fragments inside the cavity up against the offside shoulder? Did it break any bones on the offside shoulder/rib/bone?

It didn’t hit a rib on exit and it was in the meat against the bone inside the off quarter
Still for a “soft match bullet “ it’s impressive.

Ive heard @Ryan Avery call them Eld Murder bullets. I would say this definitely qualifies as that.
