Looking for some data on the 300 PRC and 245gr Elite Hunters. I have H1000 and Fed 215 Primers and a bunch of Hornady brass. Running a 22" OMR barrel. Any help would be appreciated. I have left two messages for Berger and no one has gotten back to me.

I have switched to ADG from Lapua for 5 different 300 prc’s now. I like the thinner necks on the ADG and I have been able to get a little more velocity. I am on the 5th firing on one rifle so it’s holding up too.

I have used h1000 and Retumbo but I got better accuracy, SDs and velocity with RL26 and N570.. so I use RL26 and N570 now. Played around with N568 and StaballHD too and wasn’t impressed.

CCI250 or Fed215 … planning to tinker with Fed210 soon

Berger 205, 215, or 230 OTM (all have performed well on Coyotes and deer for us) One rifle likes 225 ELD-M (also devastating)

The following are all under 0.5 MOA out to 300yd so far:

1. Gun #1 - Piercision custom, 24” Brux 1:9
CCI250..RL26..0.331 SAC bushing..0.306 mandrel
77.6gr Berger 215HT @ 3.735” = 2939fps
78.6gr Berger 205EH @ 3.609 = 3015fps
**FYI this rifle is VERY fast for 24” don’t know why

2. Gun #2 - Defiance Antix, 26” Proof pre-fit 1:9
CCI 250..RL26..same bushing and mandrel
78.8gr Berger 215HT @ 3.733” = 3021fps

Fed215..N570
79.7gr Berger 230OTM @ 2.881” BTO = 2914fps
***This rifle lets me run more powder than my others, USE CAUTION!!

3. Gun #3 - Borden Timberline Mag, 28” ACE M.palma 1:9
Fed215..N570
78.6gr Berger 245EOL @ 3.857” = 2828fps
**This is single shot only, beyond mag length
80.1gr Hornady 225ELD-m @ 3.757” = 2952fps

I have seen pressure with H1000 3-4grains lower than N570 with other bullets. 79.5gr n570 with 245s has flat primers and a faint ejector mark. At this OAL (0.001” into lands).

I would suggest starting at 71 or 72 grains H1000. Even load up one round per grain 71-78 and stop when you see pressure.

Keep in mind, if you plan to load these to mag length you may need to decrease the charge.

Mag length for AICS CIP (max OAL) is: 3.768” on mine
Wyatt length fixed boxes are 3.810” I believe

Thanks for the info. They did get back to me and sent me the data I was looking for, but this helps too. I think I can get some of those powders kinda locally.
