210 ablr @ 2840 FPS or 180 swift scirocco 2 @ 3070 FPS. But really want to try 215. No luck finding for last year.

Yeah, they have been devastating on 2 elk I have fired them at. Killed a bull a ~100y (high shoulder) and dropped him. Killed a cow at 650, she went about 30 yards before she expired.
Do you Try the Hammer 180 gr yet,?
Hammer 180 gr is more stable with 1-10 twist, I prefer 180 gr over 181

No, I don't intend to switch over. The 1-10 twist stabilizes the bullet above 3000 feet altitude (standard atmosphere) and even in my standard shooting conditions here in San Diego it only drops the BC by 1% or less...which is still significantly higher BC than the 180 gr HH.

what powder and grains are you running to get that velocity?
RL 23 around 73 grains. I was surprised by that velocity and made a few contacts in the reloading world, they confirm it was easily doable and not an issue. If my memory is right, I believe I was over 3100 at 74 gr. Was shooting great groups, but didn't want to be that fast, so I backed down to mid 73s.

I purchased a 300 win mag used and it came with some rounds,
150 grain. What do you guys like to shoot.
The gun will probably only be used for bear and elk. It shoots good with the 150s but am thinking I should bump up to 180s. And suggestions?
200 gr eldx i couldnt get the accubonds to shoot good

My go to in my 300WM is the 200gr Partition, but I've been messing around with 200gr ELD-X and 180gr GMX. the ELD-X shoot great, haven't done anything with the 180gr GMX yet.
Dont they though!! I wanted to shoot the expensive stuff but the eldxs just shot so good!!

I was curious because I was getting the same velocity with H1000 and 180 gr Accubonds and I know that copper bullets were longer taking up more case capacity but I see how you could get there with RL23.
