I have a second son who is starting to spend time in the woods and it just dawned on me that I have my Rock River 223 sitting in the safe most of the time and it wouldn't take much to make a second gun by buying a new upper.
I have an 11 year old and a 9 year old. Both can handle my 243 for target work and do well handling it off of a bipod.
Love my CVA Cascade in 350, but haven't tried the 350 Legend (Ohio is a straightwall state) in a short barrel. Anyone using it? at 100-150 yards are you seeing any loss in efficiency of accuracy or wounding deer?
The book says it'll get the job done, just looking for some real world experience.
