Pretty frustrating reading the comments online of people thinking hunters are just killing endangered bears at will. The majority of people have no idea how far out of the park Grizzlys have moved, how much the population has exploded, or how fearless they have grown of people. I even saw comments on FB blaming Trump for the bears death....
Time to open a season on them, it's getting ridiculous. What is it going to take?

The general public is about as useless as they come. I love how the dip shit writing the article opens it up by “its been a dangerous year for bears so far” that’s a person that has zero clue how the natural world works and think of wildlife as a cartoon

It is frustrating when the tag sales would generate revenue which in turn would provide even more wildlife conservation. Self funding.

C'mon man, we all know Wyoming doesn't do "self funding."

And, shame on you for even bringing up something so sensible.

That's why public education is so important to the longevity and actual life of recreational big game hunting. Unfortunately, there's not a broad educational campaign in North America.

The problem is that there are a lot of people dont want to be educated. They feel how they feel and your facts wont change that. It actually makes them double down on their belief. Its called the Backfire Effect.

Then that's their choice.

Then that's their choice. Doesn't mean that education shouldn't be available. The majority would be very willing to receive proper education. Problem is, there's very, very, very few mainstream outreach programs in North America.

Along the same lines and people voting to ban bear baiting and spring hunting in colorado. Now there are more problem bears and the parks and wildlife kill and waste them on a weekly basis. People think they helped out the bears when in fact now instead of hunters paying money and money into the economy etc and harvesting the meat they are killed and wasted.

Could be generating money and harvesting bears. But instead idiot people (voters and judges) control wildlife management
