What would the best twist rate be for a 7mm-08 with a 22 inch barrel shooting Barnes 120 grain TTSX bullet?
I just did a build with a 8.5" twist Bartlein CF - barrel is finished @ 22.5". Have only shot 120 grain Ballistic tips but so far its been crazy accurate. Will be doing another with an 8.5".
Here you go!I would like info on your build as well as I am trying to figure out what I want to put together. Any suggestions would be great. The Barnes TTSX bullets are what I am wanting to shoot out of it and I need a stock to match up with a 50mm scope.
Here you go!
Specs:
Defiance Machine Rebel short action, sheep cut port, extra deep flutes on bolt, Remington style bolt handle with teardrop bolt knob
Proof Research carbon fiber stock
Bartlein #4 contour carbon wrapped barrel, 1-8.5" twist, finished @ 22.5ish"
TriggerTech primary trigger
Hawkins aluminum BDL with Wyatts mag box/spring/follower
Talley Lwt lows
Nightforce NXS 2.5-10-42 scope
Rifle only weighs just under 6lbs.
Looks good. Thanks for the info. Here you go!
