Alaskan Sheep Hunt Pack List. 14 days, self supported.

Me too. Just found a 1/2 price sale on the other side of Canada from me and it’s ordered.
I am easily swayed by a good review ha ha.
I think they discontinued them so you got lucky. Its a nice jacket however they do run a bit on the small side.

Do you have a breakdown of the food to get to 22oz?
Watch the GearSkeptic food menu videos on youtube and download his excel spreadsheet.

I've gotten my daily food rations down to about 18.5 oz per day. No I'm not starving myself and I'm still eating all things I'll even eat while I'm at home.

I have seen several of his videos. Great content and great tool for planning. Are you mainly eating bars? I’m always interested in learning how to save and mix it up some.

I eat some bars but no more than 1 per day if I pack them. There's a lot of other actual food options out there that have higher cal/oz than many of the bars out there. Lots of little tricks as well like adding olive oil packets to freeze dried meals or peanut butter to bacon and crackers.

I went through the gear skeptic food list and then also started calculating any foods I liked that weren't on the list already and if it wasn't above about 145 cal/oz or I couldn't put together a meal that came in higher than that then I just don't take it. I have 5 different day/menu combos so that it stays simple but also is a change from day to day so that I don't quit eating from getting burnt out on the same things.
