Archery Elk Hunting Tactic

Just curious to hear y’all’s opinion - in your mind, what is the most effective way to chase these elk in September? Calling a lot, raking trees, making your presence felt - versus taking a stealthy approach - glassing elk and sneaking in quiet as a cat - Just curious how y’all like to play it - Preciate it

This is like asking what the best way to meet a chick in a bar is. No disrespect...

It's different everytime. Have the ability to use several tactics and understand what their mindset/mood is. Make them afraid they are missing out on something awesome and don't be afraid to play hard to get. Make them feel safe to approach and also curious enough to hang around.

Lastly, never walk away from an encounter with regrets... use every tool you think may work.

You're not entirely wrong. But you're generally not trying to shoot the chick. For elk hunting however, you can use the chicks (cows) to your advantage. Lots of similarities, techniques, and strategies can easily carry over from one to the other if your focus and techniques are right.
