Hawkins...very close to that price point depending on model. I prefer them over anything else. Plus, great dude/small business, made in USA (CO).

Nice thing about Seekens is they are a serial numbered set. The entire set is machined from the same piece of billet. Each piece is then given a serial#. Both rings are as identical as you can get. Imagine 1 huge ring that is machined and then sliced into 2 rings.

Warnes Maxima are sintered metal. In other words a powder that is heated and compressed into shape then the final machine work is done. The thing i hate most about Warnes vertical rings is they dont come on and off returning to zero. The same 2 bottom bolts hold the scope in the rings and the rings to the rail/base. They are also not NATO STANAG so they grip the angles on the base. They dont sit flush on the base and use just the bottom 2 angles. The new Warnes Horizontals DO sit flush though.

The least expenisve rings that cover basically all the bases....machined 7075, easier return to zero and sit flush are the Vortex Pro rings. The Contessa rings do also for a few bucks more but they are picatinny ONLY. They wont fit a Weaver spec base or rail.
