Good area for bears. Have a couple from that area.

Do you do it yourself or use a guide? I'd like to plan out my first black bear hunt and open to using a guide if you have any suggestions...

Good area for bears. Have a couple from that area.

It's a virtually untouched area where a hunter can be selective and find the size, sex and color phase he or she wants. There were tracks everywhere after the 1st snow of the season. Just follow the fat ones. My taxi bill was $660. with shipping.

Seeing such fast turnaround on rugs makes me jealous. I contacted my taxidermist again to find out what is happening with the bear I dropped off in October 2019. He said it is in progress and he's getting some more rugs back from his tanner and rugger in September...he didn't say mine will be in the mix. I've heard the same from him a few times over the past couple years. I doubt I would use this guy again.
