I am wondering if anybody else has experienced this where the boot just wears down from the inside out? A small tear formed, and over time it just wore and wore and wore, and my foot somehow excavated a hole through the back of the boot, in the area of my achilles tendon.
I havd only had these boots for 8 months, and most of the damage happened in 2 months of hard use, all day every day use during a birch syrup season. This is a Muck Boot Apex Pro, which has a built in TR Fleece liner.
I know I can shoe goo the hole, but I am wondering also if anybody knows how to fix the liner part, how would you do it?
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? This was a loose fitting boot, and it also happened on a tight fitting Scarpa Rebel boot I used to wear.
