Bradley smoker vs pitboss

Have a Bradley and used it with mild success, not a huge fan of the pucks either. Seems I have to babysit it a lot.

The pitboss looks to be quite a bit better, runs on pellets and might control heat much easier.

Has anyone switched from a Bradley to a pitboss?

I only really use it for salmon/jerky/tuna.

I had a Bradley, enjoyed the ease of it. Didn’t seem to work too well when it got cold outside at lower smoke temps. It was extremely temperamental. Have had a pit boss for about 2 years now. I think it works better. When you use the smoke setting it requires some attention to make sure it doesn’t blow out but any of the solid temp settings work well. Follow the maintenance/cleaning recommendations and I’ve had zero problems with it. All that being said I use mine as a grill/oven 95% of the time. Not so much as a pure smoker.
