We're going to Broken Bow at the end of the month for my birthday. We're staying at Beaver's Bend State Park. I've never been, so looking for ideas from people who have been there on places to eat, stuff to do, cool paces to check out, etc.

Was just there a month ago for TAC. Lots of places near and at the lake with stuff to do. Go-carts, batting cages, zip lines and lots of places to eat or drink.

There’s a few decent options to eat. There’s a blue rooster that’s pretty laid back and has a great slaw.

There’s also a steak house or two. We always end up at mountain fork brewery good food and if you feel like a beer they got that too.

I’ve driven trails, hiked, fly fished, bass fished, camped, glamped, slept in my truck etc. fun little town but thick with tourists. I was there 2 months back on a solo fly fishing weekend and there was a new casino popping up. Not sure if that’s finished but some folks apparently are in go that as well

When I was a kid we used to spend about 10 days in Beaver's Bend every couple years and stay in a cabin. The fishing was awesome. Sounds like it's really changed these days.......for the worse.....go carts, zip lines, batting cages, casino's, too many people......like everywhere else these days.

Wth is Broken bow and where in the world is it?
South East Oklahoma. TAC usually has an event there every year. It's a nice little state park. I was there for the first time in March for that event and have lived in OK for 30 years. Lots of things to do and plenty of restaurants outside the park gates.

We just got back today..had a little bad luck, but overall it was great. Fly fishing is great, beautiful scenery, really nice park. Someone did steal a fishing rod I left outside the cabin on the first day while we were gone to eat, but I should have known better than to leave it out. Then I broke my pinky toe lol.

The Grateful Head has great pizza and a lot of local beers on tap that are pretty good. The restraunt in the park is surprisingly good as well. We'll probably go back next month because there's a WMA I want to scout before deer season that I may go back and hunt. Thanks for the tips!!
