Cheap backstop

What is a good, but large, cheap backstop? Something that doesn't just save arrows from getting lost, but can be struck several times without damaging the arrow. For example, I could put up a piece of plywood, but I would think that could lend itself to issues after repeated strikes.

We have an old hot tub cover that we use for a backstop for a couple of targets and it works pretty good. It was an 8x8 cover that we cut in half down the seam to get 2 8x4 pieces.

I've bought and use a horse stall mat from a farm supply shop. It works very well and just needs to be about a foot in front of my fence. It does stop the arrow but with my micro diameter arrows it needs several inches to stop them.

I've seen other guys use an old conveyor belt with similar results.

Another vote for horse stall or truck bed mat. They are tough, holes fill back in and arrows wont go past 6" even if you nailed it with a broadhead
