Colorado Mule Deer 68 Scouting Timing?

Used 3 points to draw a 68 second season and plan to make a 3 or so day trip out there to go scouting.

Never been to the area but pretty comfortable hunting mule deer in UT and Idaho. My original thought was to scout it during the archery season to get some insight into hunting pressure and where hunters seem to congregate. My intentions with scouting is the learn the area, what roads are useable to base hikes from, what areas to avoid (high pressure/easy access) and to get a general idea of what kind of bucks are in the unit. Not trying to pin point exact deer to go after

When would you scout for a second season rifle tag?

Terrain, access, etc: as soon as possible.
2nd rifle deer movement: a week prior.

Thanks guys, to get a lay of the land I’m thinking of going during archery (Sept) and then a day or two before the second season starts to hopefully locate where the deer are
