Colorado Muzzy

Should draw Colorado unit 22 muzzy this year. First time to Colorado. I know unit 22 is known for it's later season hunts. Does anyone know if those bucks are migrating from other units or if they are local deer? It's a mid-low elevation unit so wondering if the big boys just stay in the thick stuff until the rut. Planning on hunting what appears to be the summer range in the south west of the unit.

Probably should just give the local biologist and conservation officer both a call. Every conversation I've had with CPW officials has been helpful to some extent or another. No experience with that area though myself.

My buddy was considering applying for 22 this year for third rifle and spoke to the biologist. He was very helpful, I would give him a call. It’s their job to know the information you’re looking for.
