Thought I'd share this with you all. I'm sure a few of you will appreciate it. Yesterday I came across a Savage 110 like I've never seen before. I knew it had to be very early in the 110 series, because the receiver was stamped "patent applied for" - my research shows it to be a 1960 rifle. The walnut stock and barrel with iron sights just captivated me. The price was right, so it came home with me and I shot it today. Even with the barrel making contact with the stock, it shot pretty darn well for a 60 year old rifle.
I've owned a lot of Savage rifles now, but never one with this much character.
