I think the 6.5-06 requires a long action but yeah if I had a long action that would be great. I’m going to dig into the 6.5 SS a bit.

Not sure if anyone really cares. But for those who do, I ordered a Carbon6 23” sendero barrel and XLR element magnesium chassis with carbon fiber butt stock and folding adapter. Will build off my savage SA and hoping to get 2.95” COAL and targeting 162 ELD-X using RL26.

Thanks for participating. Main reasoning for WSM was ensuring I got a substantial gain over my current setup. If I can get those 162s north of 3050fps I should be good. I was able to find 3 folks making WSM brass for reasonable prices and get factory ammo for $38 a box.

Should look real close to this when finished and I am estimating it’s shy of 7lbs and should fold down to about 32” making it great on a backpack.

I have $1600 into it as of now. Hopefully it doesn’t suck!
