Colonel00, you were not messing around with those pics! I got the k5 ii with the 28-135 lens on it. I started to go for the k50 but figured I might as well go for the next step up. I like that it is weather resistant, and has the image stabilization in the body rather than the lens itself like Nikon. There are lenses all over eBay for good prices. Most are low end, but it will let me figure out what I like for cheap. I've played with film and digital photography in the past but this will be my first DSLR. Never had the money before, and just kind of drifted away as my wife got into it. She didn't have much in the way of hobbies, and I am chock full of them. My wife is pregnant with our first and she wants all the cute maternity pics and pics of the baby when it gets here. I talked her into getting a camera for us for Christmas vs dropping money on a couple sessions with a photographer. I'm by no means a pro, but I've spent enough time with a film SLR that I know I can get some decent pics. Tags are hard to come by these days but I still like to get out. I figure I will upgrade my spotting scope someday and get the mount for this camera.
